🐾 TNR 🐾
Trap • Neuter • Return
What is TNR?
TNR is the humane and effective way to reduce the outdoor cat population.
- Trap: Humanely capture community cats.
- Neuter: Spay/neuter to prevent litters.
- Return: Cats are returned to their outdoor home, healthy and unable to reproduce.
Why is TNR Important?
🐱 Prevents overpopulation – One unspayed female cat can have up to 2–3 litters per year, leading to dozens of kittens annually.
🐱 Reduces euthanasia – Fewer kittens born means fewer ending up in shelters.
🐱 Improves cat health – Spayed/neutered cats are less likely to suffer from certain cancers and infections.
🐱 Reduces nuisance behaviors – No more yowling, spraying, fighting, or roaming in search of mates.
🐱 Stabilizes colonies – Once fixed, outdoor cat colonies shrink naturally over time.
